Statement of Purpose
We aim to provide a variety of easily accessible ways for patients to contact and communicate with the practice and seek ways to continually improve our contact and communication methods We wish to encourage our patients to communicate with is by joining our patient forum, talking to us, participating in surveys, and feeding back on the services we offer. We will engage with outside agencies, other service providers and other stakeholders in order to provide a safe and efficient flow of information relating to operational matters and patient care. We will ensure that all communication methods are used in conjunction with robust information governance procedures and respect for patient confidentiality.
To provide patients with a variety of appointment times designed around patient input and to ensure efficient access to an appropriate healthcare professional is available to patients with an immediate need. Our goal is to provide a multidisciplinary healthcare team with a wide mixture of skills in order to provide excellent service provision and use of resources, we wish to work in partnership with our patients, their families and carer’s towards a positive experience and understanding involving them in decision making about their treatment and care. We aim to encourage all patients to consider lifestyle changes that would improve their general health and well-being and that all healthcare professionals at the practice meet the required standards and maintain a programme of continuous professional development.
To rigorously maintain a high level of equipment cleanliness and generally throughout the premises to protect patients and staff against infection. This will include regularly inspecting and maintaining equipment and premises to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose and take action to remedy any issues which arise. We will ensure relevant staff are trained and competent to use any of the equipment required for them to carry out their job. We shall undertake the necessary employment checks and have procedures in place to protect vulnerable children and adults and have robust systems in place, which are reviewed regularly for the production of prescriptions, medication handling and safe storage of stocked medicines.
To consider, investigate and respond to complaints and suggestions in accordance to NHS guidelines. To ensure all members of staff understand their roles and responsibilities and create, promote and maintain and organisational culture where all staff and patients are treated with respect and dignity. We will put consideration of equality and diversity issues at the heart of everything the practice does and ensure effective information governance systems are in place and reviewed regularly to maintain the security of confidential information.
October 2020-Temporary Arrangements during Covid19 Pandemic –
Patients to be seen for Probable/Possible COVID Symptoms ONLY. The Practice will temporarily offer a service to its patients at a COVID Face to Face Assessment Site service at a neighbouring building (Bath Street Health and Wellbeing Centre) as part of a collaborative arrangement to safely offer patient consultations (for patients who have been clinically triaged by our Practice GP or clinicians, and who deem that the patient requires to be assessed)
The Practice will temporarily be offering a service for COVID vaccinations and Flu Vaccinations from The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington, as a “Satellite Site” of our Practice.
