Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. The reception team are committed to helping patients and deal with a constant stream of telephone calls and enquiries. When telephoning for medical attention, the receptionists may ask for a few details. They have been trained to make these enquiries so that you can be helped in the most appropriate way and are bound by confidentiality and data protection legislation.
We have a midwife based at the surgery. Once a new mother has had a first antenatal appointment with the GP she will then see the midwife on a regular basis.
All consultations are by appointment and can be made by telephone or in person. The midwife will run parentcraft classes during your pregnancy and she can also arrange aquanatal classes.
The community or district nurses are based at Bath Street Health and Wellbeing Centre, they are in daily contact with the practice and liaise with the doctors on home treatments. You can telephone them directly on 01925 867924.
Health visitors are contactable at the new community centre at Meadowside, tel: 251530.
Their role is to provide health advice and support to the families of pre-school children, both at the medical centre and in the home.
They also carry out developmental checks on children and have an open access clinic once a week on Tuesday afternoons at the surgery for general help and advice.
All consultations are by appointment and you must first be referred by the doctor.
The surgery has access to physiotherapy via the service at Warrington Wolves stadium
