Shingles Vaccine

The Shingles vaccine will be offered routinely as part of the NHS vaccination programme to all people aged 70, 71, 72, or 79. If you are in this age group please contact the surgery to book your appointment.

Even though you may have had Chickenpox you may still be at risk of developing shingles. Unfortunately in older people this can be more severe which is why the Department of Health has introduced a shingles vaccination. For more information about Shingles visit

Friends and Family Test

From 1st November 2015, you will be given the opportunity to tell us whether you would recommend our surgery to friends and family, if they needed similar treatment and care. You will be asked to choose one of six options, ranging from ‘Extremely Likely’ to ‘Extremely Unlikely’. You will also be invited to tell us if you feel you would be likely to use a self-help area on our website, instead of seeing your GP for an appointment. Please note that all responses will be anonymised. You will find a box to put your returns in and pens in the waiting room. Forms can be obtained from Reception or your GP. We hope you will take this opportunity to provide this valuable feedback and thank you in advance. Please see the link to the right of this page for our current results.

If you would like to discuss something with the Receptionist in private, please ask and we will find a quiet area.

If you are seeing a GP and would like a chaperone please don't hesitate to ask.
